Arizona | The Roam Retreat

In November 2023, we ventured to the stunning desert landscapes, staying in Scottsdale, Arizona, for our unforgettable Arizona photography retreat. This retreat blended desert charm and creative inspiration, offering attendees the opportunity to grow their skills, build community, and capture breathtaking images in some of the Southwest’s most iconic locations.

Our lineup of eight photoshoots included a mix of sessions designed to build robust and diverse galleries. These included a gorgeous micro wedding in Tucson, two elegant bridal sessions, three laid-back couples sessions, and two adventurous elopements. The settings ranged from the serene Salt River to the dramatic backdrop of the Superstition Mountains, allowing photographers to experiment with different lighting, textures, and storytelling techniques.

As with all our retreats, we prioritized education alongside creativity. We ensured attendees learned how to obtain the necessary permits for shooting in natural areas and emphasized Leave No Trace principles to protect the fragile desert ecosystem. Shooting in these iconic locations wasn’t just about capturing stunning photos—it was about respecting the land and creating meaningful art responsibly.

Each photoshoot was meticulously planned to provide a full-gallery experience. We included beautifully crafted invitation suites, styled detail setups, and getting-ready moments thanks to our in-house hair and makeup artist, who prepped each model to perfection. This attention to detail ensures that every attendee leaves with cohesive and professional content to showcase.
