Oregon | The Roam Retreat

In May 2022, we hosted an unforgettable photography retreat in the breathtaking landscapes of Bend, Oregon, blending adventure and artistry in a setting full of natural wonder. Nestled in a cozy Airbnb in Bend, our retreat became a hub of creativity, community, and education.

Our attendees immersed themselves in eight incredible photoshoots, which included four elopements and three casual sessions, each set against Oregon’s stunning backdrops. We explored the rugged beauty of Smith Rock State Park, the serene vistas of Crater Lake National Park, and the charming scenery of Bend. For a coastal touch, we embarked on a day excursion to the North Oregon Coast, where two magical shoots took place at Cannon Beach, capturing the iconic Haystack Rock and dramatic seascapes.

As with all our retreats, we emphasized Leave No Trace principles, ensuring our presence respected the pristine landscapes we had the privilege to photograph. We also shared insights on obtaining permits and properly planning shoots in protected areas, equipping attendees with the knowledge they can carry into their own businesses.

Every shoot was curated to offer a complete-gallery experience. From styled invitation suites and carefully selected details to in-house hair and makeup artistry, we ensured that attendees could capture every moment, from getting ready to the final shots of the day. Each session reflected the magic of the Pacific Northwest and was a perfect addition to any portfolio.

Our Oregon retreat was not just about stunning imagery—it was about building community, fostering growth, and embracing the inspiration found in nature.
