The idea for The Roam all started at a retreat we attended together, one that was, well… less than great.
After being Insta friends for months, we finally met in person at a photography retreat in 2020. What should have been an inspiring experience quickly went south. Instead of a space for learning and growth, it felt more like competition than community. And that didn’t sit right with us.
Between the two of us we had seven years in this industry already. We knew what a real photography community was supposed to feel like, and we knew this wasn't it. One month later, The Roam Collective Co. was born.
Bri's in North Carolina. Dana's in Arizona. We built this from opposite coasts, which should tell you something about how much we believe in it.
We started The Roam because this industry gets lonely, and it doesn't have to.
