Idaho | The Roam Retreat

In June 2024, we had the incredible opportunity to host our Idaho photography retreat in the serene and stunning Island Park, Idaho, with one of our shoots taking place in the iconic Grand Teton National Park, just across the Wyoming border. The retreat brought together photographers from diverse backgrounds for three immersive days of education, creative growth, and jaw-dropping portfolio-building opportunities.

We planned a lineup of six photoshoots, including an intimate micro wedding, two adventurous elopements, a timeless bridal session, and two cozy couples sessions. Each shoot was designed to provide attendees with well-rounded galleries that could elevate their portfolios. The majestic landscapes of Island Park and the awe-inspiring peaks of the Tetons offered a dreamy backdrop, blending natural beauty with carefully curated setups.

As always, we emphasized the importance of responsible photography practices. Attendees learned how to obtain permits for shooting in protected areas like Grand Teton National Park and how to respect the land by following Leave No Trace principles. These sessions weren’t just about capturing beautiful images—they were about learning how to do so ethically and sustainably.

To ensure the shoots felt complete, we brought our signature attention to detail. Each wedding and elopement setup included a gorgeous invitation suite, and our in-house hair and makeup artist ensured models were perfectly prepped for getting ready photos. We also styled and staged dress and shoe details, giving attendees the opportunity to build galleries that look polished, professional, and client-ready.
